Domestic Violence and the Workplace: Risk Assessment & Risk Management Strategies

The Centre hosted a conference on October 16th and 17th, 2012 in London, Ontario.  A number of speakers from Canada, the United States and Australia provided knowledge, skills, tools and resources about domestic violence risk assessment and management that professionals can apply in their workplaces. Funding for this conference was conference was supported through a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

The report, for lawyers and family courts, provides information and practical tools on how to respond to safety, evidence, and procedural issues when families are involved in multiple court systems (criminal, family, and child protection) in domestic violence cases.  The report attempts to address systemic problems occurring at the intersection of court systems.
